Parent Commitment and Participation Participation from parents is both welcome and necessary at all levels. We all need to procure items and services, sell raffle tickets, and spread the word about our auction to the people you know. As in years past, we are asking that all families procure or donate a minimum of $200 to the auction to ensure a successful event. Please see the tips on procurement for more information. Each classroom will create a basket and classroom project to donate to the auction. Ask your childís teacher or an auction committee member how you can help with classroom contributions. The children not only enjoy working on these projects, but are very proud of their final results. A book with photos will accompany every project, documenting the process. All parents are encouraged to become involved in the auction committee. A schedule of meetings leading up to the event and committee contacts will be posted on our website calendar. Feel free to come to any meeting at any time. Volunteers in the past have found this to be a wonderful way to work with other parents in the NWM community. The following is the minimum parent commitment: - Participate in your child's classroom basket and project. Teachers will be asking parents to either contribute a specific item or monetary donation for their basket. If you would like to help with the class project, please contact your child's teacher, or a member of the auction committee.
- Procure items and services from friends, families and businesses, valuing a total of $200. If you would rather not procure, families are asked to buy new items, or donate a minimum of $200 to the auction.
- Donate one bottle of wine to the Wine Raffle.
- Sell raffle tickets to your friends, family and co-workers. Trip Raffle tickets sell for $2.50 each and Wine Raffle tickets are $20 each.
- Join us at the auction with a group of friends! This year, you may reserve a Table of Ten, which gives you priority seating and a few extra benefits!
